Time For Racing To Start
Well we are all back from Florida- what a cold and miserable trip. I know we missed the snow here but do you know what it feels like to sit at a race track at night when the wind is blowing and the temperatures are in the high 20's- low 30's hmmmm not real pleasant. Anyway we got to see some great dirt racing sprint cars, late models and the modifieds. My brother in-law had a good week, he finished 2nd & 6th out of the 3 races that the modifieds ran. Our boys decided they did not want to go and race due to the current state of the economy. They are waiting to start the season here in Delaware, and are really looking forward to it. Our motor man Jay Larkin is on board this year with helping to sponsor the boys motors for the year. He is really looking forward to the challange and the racing at Delaware International Speedway.
Jordan stayed home to work plowing snow during our Florida trip, I think the whole time we were gone he made it home for one night only between the 2 storms. Joseph has his car pretty munch ready to go. We have to have it lettered which will happen latter this week or the first of next week, and then the only thing left will be to install the motor. Jordan has to finish rebuilding the rear and fabricating the 2 door panels. Then he will be ready to have it lettered and have the motor installed. As always we are looking for sponsors to help our boys racing team for the upcoming season. If anyone knows of someone that would be interested please feel free to let us know. Sponsorship does not have to be a large amount, you can purchase a set of tires, a drum of racing fuel, pay for admission at the race track etc.Come join us at the race track and see what this young team is all about, you will enjoy yourself and hopefully pickup a new hobby.

MERRY CHRISTMAS RACERS, FANS & FRIENDS
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone, hope yours was good and everyone is well. Our family's have had a great Christams Eve and Christma morning. We have spent alot of time with our family and our friends. We find that this is a very important part of our life. I do beleive that the older we get we start to really look at what is important in our lives and it is family and friends. It is not the gifts that we receive but the time that we have with each other. It seems that as each year passes there is always someone who is not around to celebrate with us. We take this time to reflect on them, what they have meant to us, what we have learned from them and most of all what we miss about them.
We look forward to the New Year and all that it will bring us. We look forward to our old friends sharing the joy that we have racing as a family and also we look forward to the new friends that racing will bring us. Hope everyone is well and we look forward to seeing you as time goes by.

Sorry Forgot One Thing
In one of the earlier posts I forgot to thank someone who had helped us out quit a bit during the past racing seasons. That would be Scott Millman. Scottie had been alot of help the past couple of years with the boys and I would like him to know that we appreciate all of the time he dedicated to our team.
We are looking forward to racing in Florida in Feb. of 2010. It looks like both boys are going to race if we can finalize some sponsorship for that. The race cars have all been stripped down to the bare frames and they are starting to be rebuilt. Our motors have been delivered to Jay Larkin at Larkin Automotive to be rebuilt for the upcoming season. Jay is teaming up with us this year to provide our team with engines to run for this season. With his help and some racing luck we are looking to make a full assault on Delaware International Speedway this year. All I can think of for the moment. Thanks,
Glenn

Well the dirt track racing season has come to a close. The boys finished 4th & 5th in points this year at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Delaware. Not too bad for only their 2nd fulltime year of racing big block modifieds. Now the fun begins, they will take a week or so off but then must get back to work, There cars must be take apart all of the way down to the bare frames and completly gone through and everything has to be checked and rebuilt if needed. Our motors must be sent back to our motorman Jay Larkin who is located in Paoli PA. He will rebuild both motors for us during the off season and have us ready to go to Florida to race in February. We would like to thank our sponsor's for their support for this past year: Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Wilkins Fuel Co., Remax Twin Counties, Reagan Watson Auctions, Mills Bros. Market, Blue Hen Speed & Performance, Swain Excavation, James Messick Grader Services, Crown Upholstry, Grandmom & Grandpop, Mom Mom & Pop Pop. We would also like to thank our crew members for without them we could not have acomplished what we did: Cody, Will, Kyle, Josh & Jamie.

The Start of a Great Thing
Well this is hopefully the start of a great thing for our race team and the local racing scene. I will attemp to post what is involved with trying to race 2 big block modifieds at our local dirt tracks on a weekly basis. We have 3 sons that are involved in the local racing 2 are drivers and our youngest is the engine mechanic. The boys ages are 21, 20 & 18, the oldest crew member is 21. All of the boys have grown up together, went to school together and played sports together, So it is pretty neat to see them go to the race track as friends/ team mates in this adventure. I will be posting more info as we go about our team, our sponsors and what it takes to race on a weekly basis.
